TASCAM 234 Multitrack 4 Channel Cassette Deck Vintage Wood Box WORK Good Look

TASCAM 234

¥ 139,000 (released in 1983)

This 4-channel multitrack recorder was born as the world's first rack-type cassette deck equipped with dbx.

Tape speed is 9.5cm/s, dedicated to Co (CrO2) tape.

All channels are equipped with the dbx system as a noise reduction system.

The mechanism part uses 3M / 3S (soft, smooth and silent) mechanism that boasts high reliability.

The head uses an inline 4-channel head with less crosstalk.

Equipped with a punch-in punch-out function, you can partially redo or replace one of the four tracks.

Press the PLAY button and the Record button at the same time to search for the corrected part while monitoring SYNC. At the desired location, press the Function Select switch for that channel to punch in, press it again to punch-out, or play with the Akaruaji Function Select switch ON. If you follow the Play button and the Record button simultaneously at the corrected part, that channel will be punched in, and press it again to punch-out.

It is equipped with a preload sink mechanism that improves the usability of the simulsync function. This is one of the functions used in the open deck of the TASCAM Pro series. By installing a preload sink (Input/Sync) switch independent of the function selector, it is possible to monitor the sync play in real time. Thus, even if the Function Select switch is pressed, the channel can be monitored in the Sync state. When in Recording mode, it functions as a source monitor.

Simultaneous sync and ping-pong recording is possible.

Equipped with MIC/INST input with TRIM that can change input level.

4-channel independent Rec Function Select method is adopted.

Equipped with an auto-locator for repeated recording and playback and a memory repeat function.

Equipped with stereo Cue out and Pan pot that enable mix down by itself.

Recording / playback pitch control of ± 12% is possible.

Equipped with VU meter with peak indicator.

Equipped with 4-digit LED counter.

Equipped with a headphone port for stereo / mono switching and volume control.

EIA (19 inch) rack mounting angle is equipped as standard.

Punch-in / punch-out / remote pedal sold separately can be connected.

A separately sold remote controller can be connected.
