From 1945 the former AEG company was called EAK (Elektro-Apparatefabrik Köppelsdorf) - see the first apparatus there. After dismantling by the Soviet occupying power, the company becomes SAG (Soviet AG).

Incorporated into Sonneberg in 1950.

On May 1, 1952, the VEB Stern-Radio Sonneberg was created and belonged to the RFT trademark association.

The trademark "Sonneberg" is often attached to the front of the case. From the end of 1957 to the beginning of 1960, the "SONRA" trademark was introduced and applied to the rear panels and sometimes also to the front of the housing. As a result, there were several models at this time that clearly had "Sonneberg" or "SONRA" on the front of the housing, even though they were completely identical devices. During this time, the "SONRA" was always present on the rear walls next to the company name "VEB Stern-Radio Sonneberg". Since this trademark has not proven itself, it is discarded again in 1960.

On July 1, 1991, bankruptcy proceedings ended the history of what was once the largest radio plant in the GDR.
